I started sewing as a small child with my grandmother and that love has stayed with me throughout my life. As I started my career in science, friends and family around me began having children and I channeled my love and excitement for them into handmade gifts. I started For the Love of Sewing in 2017 to extend my reach to those outside my circles because I really just love seeing kiddos using and wearing items that I have made with my own hands!

While the business started with items for babies and kids, we also love making items for the home. Our favorite are paperless towels. They are a great way to reduce your environmental impact by washing the flannel towels and rolling them back up to use again and again!

Everything you see here is made by me in my own home (pet-friendly, non-smoking) in Western Massachusetts. It is my great hope that you will love the items you purchase for many years to come and pass them on as your kids grow.
